Three types: short-term tryouts (1 week — €2,000; 2 weeks in two clubs — €3,500, with accommodation and meals), the Preferente promotion program with the Academy, and long-term preparation with a tryout at a 3 RFEF club (€7,500, with NIE and annual medical insurance).
This is related to Spanish club requirements and the need to obtain a residence permit (NIE) for participation in official competitions in Spain.
NIE (Número de Identidad de Extranjero) is the Spanish residence permit, mandatory for official football competitions in Spain from the third division and above. The long-term program includes obtaining it.
Total €7,500: €3,000 upon booking, €3,000 on the day of visa receipt and flight ticket purchase, €1,500 upon arrival at the academy. Annual medical insurance included.
Two options: A) the club is interested — you join the team, get accommodation and possible salary; B) the club has doubts — team inclusion can be negotiated for €8,000 compensation plus €300/month for accommodation, with meals at your expense.
The Preferente Program is a promotion program with the Academy: the player combines morning training at Palencia Academy with evening training at his club. It includes a residence permit (NIE) through studies, a player licence in Spain and full support.
The Academy is located in Palencia, Castile and León, Spain (42.0096° N, 4.5286° W) — 1.5 hours from Madrid by high-speed train. Nearest airports: Madrid (180 km) and Valladolid (50 km).
